10K
RACE DAY IS TUESDAY,
JUNE 4TH, 2013 , 7:00pm!
Note: 7:00 p.m. Start on Jerseyville Road at Martin's Side Road
Combined 5K and 10K start on the sound of the Canon.
The 10 kilometer race is considered to be among the more challenging race routes when compared to other races in the area. This race features two hills - one at the beginning and the other in the middle of the race. Water stations top up runners as they make their way through tree lined neighborhoods cheered on by the citizens of Ancaster. The 10K route will remain the same as last year.

The 10 kilometer race follows the same 5 kilometer race route for the first 5K...this is a challenging track that has three hills. The first hill soon after the start of the race will have you slow down to correct your speed. The second hill is barely detectable as it the track wends its way through a neighbourhood and challenges with the steepest of the three hills.Tree lined, mature neighbourhoods provide the backdrop for the next 2-3 kilometers with spectators cheering runners on past a couple of water stations. A right turn back onto Jerseyville Road signals the descent toward the Lions Club Pool once more and back up past Morgan Firestone Arena and heading 2.5 kilometers out on moderately hilly Jerrseyville Road lined with beautiful farms. At the turnaround point you can turn up the jets for your 2.5 kilometer strong finish.
